THE AFRICA FASHION RECEPTION LIT UP PARIS

It was a weekend of razzmatazz and glamour as Legendary Gold Ltd in collaboration with the World Fashion Organization, Paris Luxury Events and the Embassy of Nigeria in France presented the Africa Fashion Reception of the World Fashion Week at the prestigious Salle Wagram which is located in the exclusive and very Porsche 17th district of Paris.

 The Africa Fashion Reception featured the collection of 14 leading African designers from 14 African countries. These designers were carefully selected to represent their countries from a pool of applicants from the various countries based on their lookbooks (portfolio) submitted months earlier.
Participating designers by country includes Anggy Haif-Cameroun, Francois 1er-Burkina Faso, Fay designz- Zambia, B’Exotiq by Bee Arthur-Ghana, Kipusa-Kenya, Moie-Liberia, Maria Bocoum-Mali, Siham El Habti-Morocco, Frank Osodi- Nigeria, Lilly Alfonso-Malawi, Dady de Maximo- Rwanda, Nafytoo-Senegal, Diana Fashion-Tanzania, JSE Couture-South Africa.  The event gathered the very exclusive French and African audience led by the Nigerian Ambassador to France who was represented by Kenneth Nwanchukwu, Minister in charge of economic, investment and trade in the Nigerian Embassy , Chairman/CEO, World Fashion Week and members of the Board of Governors of the World Fashion Organization. Others that made the guest list included Ambassadors from over 12 countries, Dame Abimbola Fashola, First Lady of Lagos State, Mrs Merit Gordon Obua, Wife of the CSO to the Nigerian President, Aisha Babangida-Shinkafi, Alex Oriaku, Consul General, Nigerian Embassy, Dele Momodu, famous designer Alphadi and son,  etc.
